Dragon Ball (Japanese: ドラゴンボール ) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Akira Toriyama. It was originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1984 to 1995, with the 519 individual chapters published into 42tankōbon volumes by Shueisha. Dragon Ball was initially inspired by the classical Chinese novel Journey to the West. The series follows the adventures of the protagonist, Goku, from his childhood through adulthood as he trains in martial arts and explores the world in search of the seven orbs known as the Dragon Balls, which summon a wish-granting dragon when gathered. The Story:-

Goku's Tale:-

Goku is a boy who lived with his grandfather. Soon, the boy grew stronger under his grandfather Gohan's training as he grew. Before his grandfather died, he gave Goku a Four-Stared Dragon Ball. 

Dragon Balls:-

So long ago....., nobody knows,...... Mysterious Yellow coloured red starred balls called the "Dragon Balls" appeared on Earth. Once all of the seven Dragon Balls are collected, the ethernel dragon appears and grands a single wish. But, only some knows about this secret ability of Dragon Balls. They collects Dragon Balls to fulfil their wishes.

Goku Meets Bulma:-

Neither Goku nor his Grandfather knew about the ability of Dragon Balls. Then one day, Bulma, a city girl came in search of the Dragon Ball and Goku and Bulma thus becomes friends.

Into The Story:-

After this, the story focuses on their finding of the dragon balls and Goku's journey to learn martial arts.
